This bank has a slot in the back, ready for your coins and bills, and an authentic antique post office box door made of nickel covered bronze on the front. This particular door has a very simple motif with a starburst coming from a target-like dot in the center and two dials. The inside of the door says CORBIN with no year, but the creator of this bank lists the door as circa 1950s. It has box number 2283 on an old paper tag behind a glass panel. The combination is, of course, included.
Handmade in California by the Wood Mason, the door is inset into the gorgeous box made from black walnut. With perfectly mitered corners and a rounded back, this is a quality piece of craftsmanship even before the addition of a vintage post office box door. Four felt feet protect your furniture.
Measurements: 6" x 4.75" x 4.25".
