Every robot is made with four wrenches—two for arms, two for legs—bolts for feet, body, and neck, two socket wrench sockets for eyes, and a nail for an antenna. Built for downhill fun but permanently stuck on the flatlands, Snobot’s yellow skis are made from metal rulers that once measured someone else’s big ideas. His trusty ski poles? Bolts that finally found a purpose beyond holding things together. He’s part robot, part skier, and 100% proof that even the junk drawer can hit the slopes.

Artist Fred Conlon was first inspired by a massive pile of old WWII army helmets that he saw at his local military surplus yard. What was intended to be a mascot for his pottery shop ended up becoming a helmet turtle that he reluctantly sold the first day on display, and Sugarpost Metal was on its way.
