35mm Camera - Kodak Pony 135

This 1950s Kodak Pony 135 is made from poly­oxy­benzyl­methylene­glycol­anhydride, better known as Bakelite. Bakelite was the world's first synthetic plastic, and it was used for almost everything!

Originally we were going to make the shutter button the switch, but instead, we took a different approach and added a touch sensor to this lamp. When you tap metal on the body of the camera, such as around the lens, the touch switch cycles through three different brightnesses, all of which look great with the included Edison bulb. The included base is a vintage tripod, but the camera can also be removed and used without the tripod or with any other device that has the standard mounting screw. A thumb switch on the cord lets you turn the lamp off completely—in case you have kids or cats that decide the touch switch is entertaining.

MEASUREMENTS (as shown, with bulb and tripod): 20" tall; tripod can sit on a 10" x 10" surface.
